Here's a thought for all you people: If you believe it's a sin, don't do it. But if some else thinks different then leave them alone.

If you believe in the Bible, the Old Testament especially, then you would have to consider it a sin. I do not take the Bible literally, and I see nothing in the words of Jesus condemning homosexuality. Loving another human being is the one of the commandments of Jesus. Whether that person is of the same sex or not is no one's business but the two people involved. I actually don't think 'sin' in the way most people define that word, exists in regard to anything that fosters love and respect between people. Something that is good cannot at the same time be bad.

I don't have a Bible in front of me so I can't get into the specifics, but I haven't seen a verse saying that being gay is a sin. I read a verse saying that a man that lays with another man will surely die. I'm not trying to get on anyone's good side or bad side, but I think the actual sin is sleeping with someone of the same sex. It's the same as premarital sex; you're not supposed to do either. I also don't believe in levels of sin; wrong is wrong, and a homosexual who controls his/her urges is just as right as a heterosexual who controls his/her urges. Let me know if I'm wrong.

Everyones different. Some people are saying "its in the bible!!!!" uhhhh, yeah. It also says in the bible not to eat meat. But do people still eat meat? Yeah, they do. I am not a homosexual, but I think its something they can't control. I disagree about homosexuals showing affection for eachother in a public area (ex: park) because alot of people aren't used to it. Also I disagree with homosexual's raising children together because that puts alot of stress on the child when he/she gets older. But still- its an uncontrolable thing and it's wrong to get mad at somebody for it. That's being prejudice. It's not the 1960's, so we don't need any of that. Dr. King has already made the "equal" speach, and it applies to everything- not just color.

In Islam, homosexual conduct is forbidden. So, if it is forbidden then why God wills that a person is gay? The answer again lies in the purpose of creation in the first place, which is none other than to worship, serve, obey, and please God our Creator. So now, is God unjust? Surely if you are a believer of God, you cant possibly think that way - it is an obvious blasphemy.
"Yes, it is unfair, for most of the world will enjoy the company of a spouse while we remain without sexual intimacy for as long as we live. It can be expected that this will create misery, but it also must be realized that life itself is 'unfair' as God has administered tests of different types and degrees of difficulty for man. Yet, He is by no means unjust, for He shall reward us according to the effort we make to succeed and the difficulty of the test"

How could it possibly be a sin when it is something one has no control over?
It is obvious that people do not "choose" to be homosexual, because life is tough enough being hetero and fitting into society; who would "choose" something that would only make life more difficult?

Yes. The Old Testament also says you should not eat the meat of a cloven hoof animal. Had any hot dogs or pepperoni lately? People pick and choose the rules they want to follow in the Bible. Why not just follow the basics and learn to help and love one another. I am not gay but I think if God really did not like gay people, he wouldnt have made them.

I don't use a messenger but my email is kittent1211@yahoo.com. Yes, homosexuality is a sin however, salvation is not by works. Being homosexual will not land you in Hell unless you are unsaved. If you've never accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior then you will be judged according to your works when you die. But if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior then you are forgiven of your sins. The big problem as I see it is that most homosexuals don't admit that it's sin.

In general yes, but some people have inbalanced male and female hormones or personality disorders which cause homosexuality, in this case this is not a sin, this is sickness

the bible is a flawed cult book, based on myth.
of course it is not a sin. Lev also says that wearing blended cloth is a sin, and that women are unclean. I can name other tenets in Lev that christians ignore regularly.
many christian and jewish churches/denominations bless and perform gay marriages. they use the same buy-bull to worship, and disagree that it's a sin.

Whether the bible is factual or not is still being debated, so I choose to refrain from making a commitment either way.
