Milk? Are you thinking of mac and cheese?
You grill cheese between two slices of bread and melt the cheese - you can put cooked bacon or tomato into the sandwich - butter the bread on the outside. I put a heavy pot (or a pot filled with water) on a piece of foil on top of the sandwich to press it down - the cheese melts very well like that.

I don't think I understand your question.
But, you need bread to make a sandwich so, NO! You can't make grilled cheese sandwiches by just adding milk.
But you can make grilled cheese with almost any kind of cheese. You can also use butter, Pam, or mayonnaise on the outside of the bread.
Always grill low and slow. Enjoy!

A grilled cheese sandwich is 2 slices of bread with cheese in the middle. Ther bread is buttered and grilled on both sides until the cheese melts.

Its sounds like you don't have any business near a stove at all!
A grilled cheese is just what it says, "GRILLED" as in on heat, as on stove,in a skillet. Take 2 slices of bread, butter on one side, place buttered side in skillet, put cheese on unbuttered side, top with other slice of bread with buttered side up. Brown on both sides or until cheese melts. That is a grilled cheese.

Take Linda G's advice. That's the way to make a grilled cheese sandwich, because your way doesn't make sense to me.

Don't do that. Just use softened butter, two slices of real American cheese, and fresh bread. Make your pan nice and hot and don't forget the tomato soup!
