it's shaped like an igloo, so it holds in heat in the winter. she likes pine needles and those cedar chips that you'd normally use to line hamster cages with. i've covered the bottom of her house with both. she'll go in for a while, but then she'll come right back out and look at me like i'm crazy. i praise her for going in also, but she won't stay in for very long.

This is something that happened to me once with my dogs. A good idea is to place her food and water dish in there for a while, so she gets comfortable with being in there. Also, she will learn that she NEEDS this place for something. Later on, you may be able to remove her dishes and she will stay in the house. =)

I agree with putting her food and water in there. Also, take it gradually. If she is an indoor dog, she is probably not used to being in a building without seeing you regularly in there also. (my dog always thinks if i can go, it must be safe.) try leading her in, and praising her like you are doing, and give her a treat, even if she only stayed in for a minute or two. Make sure to reinforce the training. slowly make her stay in longer before you praise her and give her a treat, and then she will get used to staying in there herself.

give her a treat when she goes in there and then she will learn to associate the house with good stuff and soon she will go in off her own accord.

Try a ribeye steak. I'd even go in for that!
