I was given a bottle of mead over the holidays and can't seem to figure out at what temperature it should be served. I am thinking chilled, but I don't know.

Also, what vessel is used to serve mead? Wine glasses, goblets, regular cups...?

For a mead on the dry or sparkling side, definitely chilled.

A sweeter dessert mead will be best at room temperature, to let the full flavor, sweetness and aroma come through.

A spiced mead might be served mulled, like hot apple cider, with a cinnamon stick for good measure. Some commercial meads even come with little steeping bags full of spices for this purpose.

The most common modern practice is to serve mead in a clear glass (over a white tablecloth) to let the full color shine through. If that won't work, use your best renaissance fair mugs!

It's really a matter of personal taste, but I'd say chilled. Serve it in goblets or wine glasses. Also make sure that, if you're buying it rather than making it, you're getting true mead and not white wine with honey added. True mead should be fermented honey, not grapes.

Definitely chilled. or just chill the glass you're serving it in. I would use one of those beer glasses (has a short stem and a base) or a beer mug.

Mead is God's gift to wine drinkers! Instead of fee!mented grapes, like wine, it is fermented honey and has been around longer than wine.

What is room temperature? Goldfish need to be kept in 20+ gallons and bettas and other tropical fish really should have a heater + filter. Do you have a filter?

I do not know what mead is, but I'd chill it anyway and just put it in something drinkable that fits with the occasion. I don't think you can ever go wrong with wine glasses.
