I have been a Wiccan for five years, and had most of my tools, the other's my fiance had, but due to a recent incident in which my sister's house caught on fire (we all lived together) I have lost all of my tools and other things... I, my best friend Nova, my fiance Tubbs, and my father-like-friend Miles (who past away after the fire) all believe homemade tools generate my power and are generally better, but I have no clue where to start, does anyone know how to or knows a link to make the following items: a sword, athame, white-handled knife, an altar, chalices, candles, a wand, censer, incense, a pentacle, cauldron, broom (besom) , robes, cords, and a bell... I know that that is quite a bit, but it would really help if you could tell me one or more if you know how to make them... or any other tools I might have left out...

as a former Wiccan,u can go to about.com and look there. There are several books that can tell u how to make your own items or buy them and bless them. I crochet, and I made my own alter cloth and I agree with your family that making your own stuff generates, power and are better. I know it sounds wierd, but I felt better when I used my own alter cloth and yes, candles can be home made, but I would buy them, instead ,from a reputable candle shop, like one that specializes in Wiccan candles.I found my wand,or rather,it found me,on a walk after the rain.a Pentacle, find one in a jewelry store.the broom,i would find one hand made, too. My robe, there are places on the net where u can find such things, and there is a catalogue that has them,I will have to find it later, for my daughter has it. It is loaded with Wiccan stuff U need, and it will have everything,if not most,of what u need. Did your Book of Shadows get burned too?? I hope not!! A bell?? Find it at a dollar store, and don't ring it till u have blessed it!!! Good luck and Blessed be!

The cheapest way is to go to your local Barnes and Noble, or any good bookstore that has a good selection of pagan books and buy Raymond Buckland's Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft. He details how to make all your tools.

Well, you have the internet, so check out http://www.witchvox.com and maybe you'll find suggestions from professionals.

I'm a Satanist, formerly pagan.

Don't listen to Shayna. She's misled.
