If you don't talk, nobody talks to you..but is there any chance someone will?

Back in highschool..i used to be the same as i'm now( no i'm 27). I would just sit al alone in the floor at lunch period and people would pass by.....but one time i got approached by a bunch of girls and they talked to me. I really dont' know why though, they even seemed like they wanted to be friends. it was quite embarrasing^^ i got red . I sat in the same place always and they came and talked to me a few days.

Then another time, a guy came and talked to me.
And i never even approached anyone, i just sat there. But you see, of the hundreds of highschool students that passed, only 2 occasions did people approach me. The question is what made them approach me? .. i'm just a shy guy and i would just be sitting down studying. i guess it was pity.

Now at 27 , i'm kind of the same except i don't really stay sitted in a crowded place, but if i did, wuld someone approach me eventually?

there are many personalities out there. If you sit long enough somebody with a couragous personality is bound to approach you...whether to make convesation or to ask for directions.
Why ask such a question? maybe you should stop waiting for the approacher, and be the approachee
