From My experience Olive Is the most moisturizing.. and since olive is a nature thing it has o side effects which chemical products could have... I Suggest you try both cocoa and Olive and then pick the one that is best..
Cause I don't think you can get better then that.
Good Luck!

I am getting ready to put my own formula together. I am going to melt some cocoa butter over a low heat and then gradually add some lotion that I bought at the store because I like the smell. when those are combined, I am going to empty several capsules of vitamin e into it and then let it cool and pour back into the bottle. I don't know if it will work, but the lotion by itself is just not moisturizing enough.
I don't care for shea butter because it smells a lot like body odor in some of the products I have tried. I have never tried olive butter, but olive oil is great except for the smell. I have used almond oil right after my bath (before drying off) and it works pretty well, but I still have to use lotion.

I've tried alllll the butters, trust me, and i think the best is the olive body butter from body shop, for really dry skin. When your skin stops being so dry, i suggest switching to a Vaseline body lotion, they are great, and lighter than the butter-type mosturisers, and wont feel as heavy when your skin gets less dry.

I wou;d say shea butter.Shea butter has soothing, moisturizing and protecting effects. Due to the presence of a sizeable quantity of unsaponifiable fats, its content in vitamins and other active elements, shea butter adds other more precise activities to these general properties. It displays a protecting role against UV rays because of its content in cinnamic acid and can thus be incorporated in solar products. The natural latex contained in shea butter would moreover prevent certain sun allergies. Shea butter also helps cell regeneration and capillary circulation. This favours the healing of small wounds, skin cracks and crevices, and skin ulcers.

I use Perennial Skin Moisturiser sold by Nuskin, I also recommend The Epoch products as well. Read more about the products on my website at www.select.mynuskin.com ... Let us know if you would like more information.
The basis of their skin care is Aloe Vera which does not cover up and clog the pours like oil based creams. They only use the best ingredients that are researched and proven to be beneficial.
Watch some videos on line at www.maxcast.com/nuskin
Hope this helps you with your dry skin. Many people experience this problem during the cold winter weather.

I've tried them all and nothing is better than good ole petroleum jelly. I put it on right after I get out of the tub/shower and rub it in well. This way it's not so greasy when I put on my clothes. I hate the way cocoa butter smells.

shea butter. And if the over the counter ones don't help, you can order some homemade types on ebay.

a lotion with shea butter. L'occitane makes awesome lotions, but they are very pricey.
