LDRs, IMO, are rubbish. Well, it depends how far and the situation though.

You're in deep trouble my dear. Move on, date people, go out with friends, anything just to preoccupy your mind. The less you think about him, the less you'll feel for him.

From past experiences, if he's hiding things from you, why should you trust anything he says? I was in a long distance relationship for 3 and a half years when I was in high school. There were a lot of tears and long phone conversations, but he never lied to me or cheated on me. We did break up after high school, but we grew apart. Maybe you should try to find a guy who's closer and whose family likes you. Take it from me, a relationship where the parent/parents don't like you is hard enough, but long distance relationships almost never work.

I am in a long distance relationship with my husband and haven't seen him for nearly 8 mos. We have a very, very strong bond!!! Don't listen to anyone else out there, it depends on the couple's hearts for eachother. It can work, but why would you want to be in a long distance relationship at the age of 18? I believe you're depriving yourself of any potential healthy relationships where you could have so much fun spending quality time with the person.
Good luck and peace!

awww well, some long distance relationships work...my bf lives in England and im here in the US...but ur guy seems like the lazy kind of guy...in a long distance relationship, both sides must put the effort. Ur bf seems to be going nowhere. This kind of long distance doesnt really work. im sorry.

it's best you move on and find someone closer. good luck :)

oh my goodness, im in a long distance realsionship too so i know how you feel.
i think that if u love him, AND trust him, you should stick with it and see wat happens when u are together in pesron when he is 18. things may not work out but if u have been in this for a while i think that u will be pretty strong when ur 18 and itll all be good.
but if he lies to you...thats not good. you need to talk to him about that.
and the thing with his mom, whatever, shes not in the realsionship..its you and him, thats it.

If It's A "long distance relationship" and hes already lying you can bet he will lie when he tells you he loves and that he will always be true to you. it will never work.... He has probably been cheating already.
