It's in belgium in the Flanders between Ieper and Nieuwpoort at the village of diksmuiden.
It is a part of a trench that had been used in the first WW or the great war if you like. This part of the trench earned his name because it was a real killing field for the Belgium soldiers that held the front line there ( The trench of War ) .
It is situated at the side of the river the yzer ( which was used to inundate the lower parts of the country) but at that place the front line with the Germans was extremely close and the Germans also had a advance of height so that they could fire almost strait into the trenche.
this day it is a monument and you can visited it

De Witte's answer is correct its a part of a Belgian trench of WWI.
Some other information : it was the only part of the front line that the Germans held on other side of the Yser, a small bridgehead and it was heavily fortified on both sides but the Germans had the higher possitions which was also the reason that they could nog be trown out.
You can translate it as "trench of death".
