I noticed you are picky about your "evidence". You forgot to put in the overwhelming good scientific evidence to support Intelligent Design, and or the Bible as being right on target, and the evidence debunking a TON of evolutionary theories, thoughts, and notions. Sorry, but this made me LOL, when I read it. I just had to respond. How's this, I totally deny evolution, just because its SO illogical, and downright goofy, without evidence, from good science. The evidences we DO have, like anthropic constants, found all over the universe, not denied by ANY scientists, because they cannot, point to ID, creation by God, etc. That all said, thanks for taking time to think about it at least, research it, and share what you did, because it will help those on their search for truth. Intellectually honest people, LOVE to see the challenges to what they believe, so they can either have to rethink things, though hard, OR, verify that, yep, I was right on that or this, etc.
Maybe someday I could have that kind of faith, but for now, it is so far in the distance, I am not sure it exists. To believe what evolutionists do, I would have to throw out my brain, and be totally dishonest with myself. Sorry if this seems harsh, I just am so in awe of evolutionists, and not in a good way, at how they believe. It really is just kind of scary.

To that I give you the best example I can think of, the Human Brain.
Studies, like that done by the University of Michigan, and features in the Discovery Channel program, The Amazing Life of the Human Brain, shows just how amazing the human brain is.
Every second while awake, we are absorbing 40MBs of data per second. That’s 144 gigabytes per hour and about 2 terabytes per day. That’s a lot of data even for the largest computer. When we sleep at night, and only at night or under nighttime conditions, all that data is sorted and stored through the creation of synaptic connectors and biochemical bounds. The brain has enough volume to allow for the creation of these storage connectors to last over 10,000 years.
Without the need of a creator, what evolutionary pressure could cause the need for this much volume that would take that long to fill? Clearly, man was either created by God to live that long, or if evolve, once lived that long, and has since de-evolved to what we are today. Which do you think it is?
This is why I believe in God. I use the brain he gave me, and designed for me, to determine something beyond imagining.

evidence is a strange thing. Although it can confirm some things it cannot confirm all the things needed to bring the answer. Its like a puzzle with pieces put into all the wrong places. It may appear to fit but the picture does not make the true image, rather a distorted illusion.

For the sake of argument (and I am not subscribing to either, by the way): the 'overwhelming' evidence lacks one basic thing: the missing link. It was probably not ever there in the first place. Man may have evolved as a separate creation from the ape. They may not even be distant cousins. This particular pope and all who came before him are men, humans, like the rest of us. Although I am not Catholic, I do give him his due: he leads a church/nation, which cannot be an easy job. Conversely, his predecessors managed to try to rule the world and removed much of what was written in the Bible, either destroying it or 'keeping it' in the Vatican where it could not be studied by anyone who might not agree with them. This was for our own good, you know. (Much easier to deal with the unwashed masses as little children than to have them cause and uprising). The only thing that disappoints me in the current pope is that, unlike the last pope, he doesn't open the archives of history to the masses so we can make our own decisions.

"A century after Darwin's death, we have not the slightest demonstrable or even plausible idea of how evolution really took place--and in recent years this has led to an extraordinary series of battles over the whole question....A state of almost open war exists among the evolutionists, with every kind of (evolutionary) sect urging some new modifications." there is no evidence.
The fossil record does not support long ages, because there are no evidence of transitional fossils (a fossil between one species and another). Evolutionists have admitted this many times. Light can be separated from darkness just as a shadow is separate from the light source. Genesis describes a geocentric universe, not heliocentric, and science has not disprove a geocentric universe. And if science can't disprove any of this, then your beliefs are all based on faith -- the same faith you ridicule in religion.

gb: You failed to list the sites which support the Creationist view. Can your prejudice be a barrier to any truth ? There are many, credible scientists who DO support the Creationist view. I guess, that you can count me in with these scientists being my "God brothers" ... I don't mind in the least bit, to be numbered within good company. My brother-in-law is a doctor of Nuclear Physics with a photo graphic memory and he has disproved the Evolutionary theory, researched into the Creationist view ... found it very scientifically credible and became a Christian. There is plenty of up-to-date, modern scientific data to totally dismantle the Evolutionary THEORY out there ... so, take down your barriers and you will be more objective in your quest to uncover the real FACTS ( employing Science ) !!!
