I have had people telling me they have got it done with a peircing gun & it didn't hurt at all. Well, what I want to know is if it is better to get it done with a needle or a gun?

needle is recommended for any piercing! it is just as fast as a gun. but the benefit of a needle is that it makes a clean cut through the skin so it heals way faster than a piercing done wiht a gun
a gun only pushes the skin aside leaving you more at risk for keloids. (overgrowth of scar tissue that looks liek pimples that can only be surgically removed) i dont kno how they go a nose piercing with a gun though.. do they use the butterfly back? the studs you get in your ears? well if so thise are also very unsafe. they are not larg enough to accomidate the swelling. and the discharge that is part of the healing process ends up collecting on the back of the studs leaving you more at risk for infection

your best bet for a good result in any piercing is to have it dont with a needle. it is quick. much more safe (cant transmit diseases like hepatitis liek the guns do) and heals faster. and is less painful in the end... the pain is only there for a split second liek any othe rpiercing. then it will probably just be sore for a few says to a week.

get it professionally done with a needle!

also if you go to a pierce shop they shoudl use a new clean sterilizing needle on every customer. most shops do that anyways so youwint need to worry about it!

Needle, and don't let anyone tell you different. Guns aren't meant to pierce the cartilage of the nose, and the studs used aren't as pointed as a needle. What this means is that while it might not hurt as bad being done, it will be more sore afterwards due to the extra force used to make the stud puncture the nose. Not only that, but you won't get as decent of stud placement on the nose using a gun, and you won't be able to wear a small stud right away as you would when you get your nose pierced with a needle. You'll have a larger earring stud in your nose. Not only those things, but there's always the risk of the stud not even going through the nose on the first try with the gun as well. Needles are also more easily sterilized. Hope that helped.

Needle! The gun can catch and not get rid of cartilage. Any peircing hurts because of the simple trauma to the skin at some point or another. Get it done right with a needle at a shop that does tattoos and/or peircings. They can explain it further and suggest sizes and give you healing times.

Don't use a gun! Using a gun on a cartilage piercing is bad! From what I understand, if you do that, it could shatter the cartilage, which, ouch. You should only use a needle on cartilage piercings.

I got my nose pierced a few years back. It's going to hurt no matter what you do, but that doesn't last very long at all. A couple of sharp pains when the person pierces it and then puts the jewelry in, and then it was sort of sore the rest of the day. That's it, really.

Needle. Definitely a needle. Guns cause a whole of a lot of trauma and unnecessary swelling. Not to mention you can damage the inner part of your nose. Needles are far less painful and heal much nicer. Got mine done with a needle and had no problems...

It better to do it with a needle. Guns are less sanitary and your nose has a better chance of getting infected if you use a peircing gun.

Mine was done with a gun about a million years ago (no professional piercings available in the area back then), it didn't hurt at all and I didn't have any issues with it afterwards, but knowing what I know now I would also recommend a needle...

I've never heard of anyone doing it with a gun. I got mine done with a needle, and it hurt some, but its all part of the experience I guess

No good tattoo parlor will peirce you nose with a gun. This shatters the cartdilige in your nose and promotes scar tissue to form.Any well established place will tell you that and do it with a needle.I peirced my nose my self and it didn't hurt one bit,Ive had it over two years with no infection. Now im not saying to do yours yourself but just make sure its done in a clean place and with a needle.Good Luck!

ps.Good tattoos shops even don't reccomend getting your ears done witha gun.So everything should be done by needle at a good tattoo shop!

Go with the needle...its easier to get the ring inside your nose then with the gun in my opion. The needle hurt less.
