Jesus was an observant Jew. He perfectly obeyed the Law of Moses - the only man who ever did. I worship Him because He saved me from my own self destruction. He upholds me every day and gives me great peace, joy and hope for the future. He is altogether delightful. He died for my sins, rose from the dead, and sent His Holy Spirit to convince me I was heading toward Hell. He ever lives to make intercession for me. He is everything the Bible says He is.

Here we go again! Christianity began as a Jewish sect. In his time, Jesus hung out with rabbis, hookers, street people, and lepers. Not ministers. So of course if Jesus ever really existed, he was more of a Gandhi or Caesar Chavez type than an ethereal saint. Everything attributed to Jesus evolved from ancient myths and is similar to stories of the heroes Horus and Osiris. They were thought to be off springs of a god, born of a virgin. Now hero worship is all very well, but do many of us-especially in the churches-strive to exemplify Jesus' goodness and unselfishness? Apparently, not. Many would rather argue and put down others beliefs. An avatar who should inspire unity is used to stir up suspicion, division, and hated. How Christian is that?

Yes, Jesus was a Jew, but He had a history before He came to Earth. He was God's very first creation and He was the one that made everything when God spoke (Colossians 1:15-16, John 1:1).
He came to the Earth for one purpose; to re-establish the connection between God and man that was lost when Adam rebelled against God. Up until that time, God used the Law He gave to Moses, and animal sacrifices to do that, but the Law was only a temporary fix until the time was right for Jesus to come.
Why sacrifices?
The penalty for sin is death, and since life is in the blood, blood was the evidence that something had died. (This is also the basis for the blood sacrifices and rituals used in other religions throughout time. Its based on a covenant.). God accepted the animal's blood, but He knew that He needed a better sacrifice. Man was the one who sinned, so a man needed to die, but since the first man God made had sinned, all other men were contaminated. Hebrews, chapters 7-10 explains this in more detail.
So this is basically why Christians worship Christ. He lived a life without sinning, and because of this, when He died, He was given the position as our High Priest. So He is the one responsible for us being considered God's children and not His enemy.

Jesus was a Jew, born in Bethlehem, was officially son of human parent, went to temple, crucified for sins of all mankind, rose to heaven and will be back onto earth someday. Those are some of the prophecies have been told thousand of years before His birth by some jewish prophets. All have been occured except the one about his second coming. People need to believe the Right One that can be identified by precise prophecies.

A better question is why would any sane person worship creation (i.e a man) instead of the creator God? - Christians laugh at Hindus who worship trees and cows and elephants then they go and worship a man!!!! (same thing :creation!!!)
Jews themselves dont worship Jesus or any human being - just God (respect to the jews on this matter)
Jesus's race is IRRELEVANT - whats important is his message -of montheism - which only Islam maintains (Christians follow the idolatrous trinity, Jews reject Jesus)

bow: Yes; Jesus was a Jew ! Jesus also, is God ... in the role of the Messiah. Christians worship Him because He [Jesus] is God. Jesus in His days on the earth 2 thousand years ago, worshipped with the Jews of His time in the Synagogue. He observed the Jewish holy days of the time and read from the Torah.

Because he is their Messiah, savior. The message was a universal one, not a Jewish only one. He went to the temple as Jews would in that time.

Jesus IS a Jew and Christians worship Him because He is the savior of mankind who brought us into the New Covenant (New Testament in the Bible).
It is due to the fact that we sinned that Jesus died for us.
