I have noticed a small bump on my epididymis. I know it is a bump because it is distinctly different from the other testicle. I am a 25 y old male. Thing is that i have been having symptoms for approx a year and a half. Including testicular pain, a dull but persistent back ache that is there when i got to bed and when i wake up, along with some urinary symptoms. I have woke up in a night sweat once during all of this. Could it be that 3 doctors missed this bump and it could be causing all these symptoms. None of them did testicular exams but i did have a CT of abdomen, ultrasound of abodmen. Would any of these detect this lump. Also if this was cancer and it was causing back pain chances are it would show up on a blood test?? Thanks

You should get back to your doctor and have them examine it. I have a lump as well, but it's a varicose vein in the testicle. That's a pretty common thing and it is sometimes a bit painful, so perhaps that's what it is. The back could be related or it could be something else. Get back to the doctor.

You need to be examined by a doctor. Ask the same questions you asked here. And, yes, 3 doctors could be wrong.

The diagnostic tests you took would not necessarily find anything that was 'small' . . CT can easily miss cancer. Fortunately though you can now have another CT to see what, if anything, is going on. The first CT you had can be used as a 'baseline' and be compared to the second one. If anything is growing or not it may be picked up this time around.

Go back to your doctor.

Good luck.

Maybe you should ask for a Testicular Ultrasound:

Testicular ultrasound is an excellant way to evaluate the testicles for a possible tumor. This test is successful well over 90% of the time in detecting these lesions. Other scrotal pathology including cysts, blood clots, infection, torsion, enlarged veins, and calcifications can be described by the ultrasound.

They have to get a testicular ultrasound done to check out if there are any 'cysts' in your testis. If they see something, then they will get it drained and send the sample to a lab to find out what is going on.
Go to your doctor (or find another one) and get things done on a proper way!
Good luck!

If it was cancer it would probably have shown up as elevated white count in your urine, I think. You should return to a urology specialist at once and get re-examined; almost anything "bad" it might be is 100% curable if caught early.

Best wishes...

Get back to the doctor and show him the lump. We are not diagnosticians here. Good luck, I hope that it turns out to be nothing serious.
