others' who claim your faith, and then proceed to lie, murder, and steal in the name of Jesus?

All I ever hear is "all of us don't do that".

Wouldn't it make more sense to at least try to distance yourselves from the psychopaths who are running around doing all these good works in the name of your Jesus?

It really does besmirch the reputations of all of you, you know.

I think that the right-wing nuts are merely the military arm of your organization, and that the rest of you are just following along at a safe distance.

Just like you have been doing for 2000 years now...

apparently there are nut jobs in every religion, and race that makes the rest of us look bad, and that is why we have a justice system,
if other nations and religions had the same type of justice system, that would track down and prosecute to instigators of such atrocities, we would not be in Iraq, or afghanistan.

It would be great not to be lumped into the same category as those evil doers, but how does one go about that? By ones own Personal character. If an atheist commits a horrible crime, I as a reasonable thinking adult don't generalize and think that all atheists must be that way. I'm not sure why Christians get generalized so much in this way, but I can tell from your question that you are very intelligent and are able to think for yourself. The example of how to be a Christian was set by Jesus Christ everyone else will undoubtedly come up short.

"historic Jesus" is a misnomer. the hardship-unfastened source continues to be the Bible. there is not any (unforged) modern-day tips approximately Jesus in besides. that includes the recent testomony, none of which became written until after the nominal date of Jesus' dying. The historic data that do exist tend to not corroborate the recent testomony tale. there is not any record of: The census that took Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem. The star of Bethlehem. The visit of three kings. The slaughter of innocents by technique of Herod. The existence of the city of Nazareth until the third century whilst it became based by technique of Christians. The eclipse, earthquake, commencing of graves and return of ineffective saints on the time of the Crucifixion. This, in a rustic governed by technique of an excellent paperwork that recorded many, many extra minor activities. There does exist a updated record of all cities, cities and villages governed by technique of the Romans interior the 1st century. Nazareth isn't on the record, and modern-day archeology shows that there became no city at Nazareth interior the 1st century.

The fact is that what you say is very true. Bad news. The good news is that it is all in fulfillment of bible prophecy that shows we are living in the last days. At 1 Tim 3:1-5, the Apostle Paul listed the personality traits that would be evidenced in people in "the last days." The last thing he listed was "having a form of Godly devotion BUT PROVING FALSE TO IT'S POWER."

I hope that helps you.

If you're here for real answers, why not look at your Bible and compare religious teachings with what the Bible itself says. Look for the faith that truly follows Christ's teachings even when it is unpopular and difficult for them.

Granted, there are hypocrites in every religion, but they are not representative of true believers. I think what really bothers you is that there are Christians in this world that believe differently than you do. I can't see why that is such a problem for you, but I think if you would take time to know your facts instead of being so critical, you might be a happier person altogether. We left-wing idiots will proceed to pray for you and others of your ilk. God Bless!

You are obviously talking about something you know nothing about. There are good people everywhere if you look for them. If, however, all you're interested in is finding fault, you can do that too. Wouldn't you have a more fulfilled life if you developed a positive attitude and stopped expecting the worst from everyone? You must be a miserable person.

Why don't you do something about it besides tell others what to do? Christians and people of other religions do try, and succeed in convincing people to live right. No they are not 100% successful, and neither is the law, but they still work at it. And I do not know anyone who has been doing, or not doing what you said for two thousand years.

I don't know who does that stuff in the name of Jesus. If you could list some examples other than the Crusades which were a Catholic thing, it would help. All i hear is generalities in which I don't hear any truth. The Bible itself denounces those practices, and Christians are known by their fruits, so if they are bearing those fruits, they are not actually Christian no matter what they may claim.

There are good and bad people in every type of group that exist. Being a Christian does not make a person perfect...although Christians are exspected to live their lives as God has told them (us) to do.. Some people claim to be Christian's and are not but that is not for us to decide or Judge.. We are should be more concerned with our life with God and not worry about the realationship that someone else has with God.........That is something specail between God and that person..If you are not a believer why do you and other's worry so much about it?

I don't control others and I don't run in the pack of wild dogs. There are nuts in and out of religion. Why only point out religion. If we have concern look around its everywhere. I stand with many others when I say our choice is to follow Jesus and not man
