Abuse is not allowed. I know there is a translation of a verse in the Quran about beating your wives, but the person who translated it used the most harsh translation and ignored what the Quran said in all other areas. The Quran says to treat women with kindness. It tells men not to harm their wives. The Prophet (PBUH) told men that the one who is best in his faith is the one who is best to his family, and he was. He never beat his wives, he never harmed his children, and he displayed his affections for his children and wives in public. The verse that says beat, everywhere else in the Quran the same word means to leave the place, to literally "beat it". The translator must have had an agenda, because that word in arabic can not suddenly change meaning. As for prostitution, it's not allowed. No, the man and woman will not be put to death but flogged, but it's not allowed. here are some verses to further enligthen you.

[002:228] Divorced women must wait (and remain single) _ for a period of three menstrual cycles. It is not permissible for them to conceal that, (the life,) which Allah has planted in the womb, if they believe in Allah and the Last Day. During this period, their husbands have the right to take them back, in case they desire reconciliation. Women have their rights, similar to the rights over them, which are well known. Of course, men are (as regards rights and responsibilities) a notch above women. And Allah is the most Powerful, and the Wisest.

[004:003] If you are afraid that you might be unfair to the orphan girls (in your charge), then marry (other) women you like _ two, or three, or up to four of them. However, if you fear that you cannot maintain equality and justice (among your wives) then have (only) one wife, and whatever your right hand owns _ (the captive women). That way you are more likely to avoid injustice.

[024:033] Let those who find not the wherewithal for marriage keep themselves chaste, until God gives them means out of His grace. And if any of your slaves ask for a deed in writing (to enable them to earn their freedom for a certain sum), give them such a deed if ye know any good in them: yea, give them something yourselves out of the means which God has given to you. But force not your maids to prostitution when they desire chastity, in order that ye may make a gain in the goods of this life. But if anyone compels them, yet, after such compulsion, is God, Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (to them),

Hello,
I'm a muslim and i can tell you this for sure in the name of all muslims there is no doubt in our minds that commiting adultry is a great sin so naturally prostitution follows. Prostituition used to be common among arabs before islam and islam came and ended this revolting act of inhumanity. As for abuse it is also forbidden wehther its for wives, children or servants. It's even forbidden and is considered a great sin to abuse animals or kill them if it wasn't for a need. Our prophet Mohammed may peace be upon him told us the story of a lady who went to hell because she locked a cat up and forbid it from eating or drinking till it died. The same goes for plants too. Our prophet used to order troops going to war not to harm women , children, old men, or priests in their churches, and not to cut off trees unless it was necessary. I hope this answers your question.
Peace

Prostitution is a sin in Islam. It is an act that discriminates and disgraces female of any religion.
Abuse is also a sin in Islam. Allah S.W.T teaches Muhammad S.A.W and the rest of Muslims none of such act. On the contrary, He teaches peaceful and loving gestures towards everyone.
Hope that's quick enough.

Prostitution is punishable by death. What we in the United States/Europe deem abuse is normal family life. Domestic abuse is more the rule than the exeption. It's a cultural thing. Shocking, maybe, but there are extreme cultural habits around the world that don't mesh with how we do thing .... Australian Aboriginals frequently have sex with thier children and have for hundreds of years ... shocking, unsettling, disturbing, but they have a diferent take on things.

Prostitution is prohibited or haram in Islam. For men and women. That is why Islam encourages marriage. Get a translated Quran where it explains the entire subject in detail. Hope this helps.

prostitution is viewed as totally wrong but abuse, for them, is left to their definition. For example, men are allowed to beat their wives for what they view is improper beha vior, such as not covering their face. But this is not abuse. On the other hand, they view other types of abuse as wrong--this does not cover the fact that they can beat their child for non compliance with parental demands.
