inintial test would be an ultrasound test- that's usually done in a hospital, just because very few doctors have that specialized equipment available in their offices. it's a noninvasive test, meaning there's no needles whatsoever. not even an IV. it doesn't hurt at all- it uses sound waves to create an image of the artery. i don't know how long it takes- i've never seen one myself, but i can tell you it's not scary at all based on what i've heard.

i think they do something to the effect of a Doppler or ultrasound. neither should take but a few minutes. what type of test do you mean? to test for blockage? i don't think they are invasive. go to webMD and see what they say.

It takes about 45min. and can be done either location, wherever they have the special ultrasound equipment.
