First get yourself some ibuprofen, then get a hot water bottle and an ice pack. Take the ibu according to the directions and then apply heat for twenty minutes. Then gently stretch your neck on one direction and your arms in another, bring your arms out straight and arms go in one direction neck in the other, your trying to release some of the pressure on your disc. But do it gently and don't over do it if it hurt really bad stop. But if you can stand the pain and it didn't change drastically try this at least five time, hold the stretch for 30 to 45 seconds each time. Then apply the ice pack to your neck. Good luck and remember to do each movement gently don't push it and it should take some of the pressure off and help the pain in your back. Good luck

If you are SURE that it is a pinched nerve, you need to see a doctor. You absolutely should not try to stretch this out by yourself unless you know what you are doing. A chiropractor is a good first step.

My advice is to see an orthopedic surgeon and see what they can do for you or, an internal medical specialist. I have severe osteoarthritis in the degenerative stages. I've had surgery on my neck three times, I have six cadaver bones in my neck and six in my lower spine, five surgeries in my lower spine. 32 screws and 32 wires, it still hurts but, heh! I can walk now.

You either take pain killers. (Ibprofen etc.) And have a massage therapist massage your back/neck.

A chiropractor would be your best option.
