I served in the military on the teams as a seal for 9 years in Asia and when I retired after 22 years of service I was 47 years old. I flew over to the Philippines and married a beautiful 16 year old Asian girl that could have easily been a super model with no problem at all. Today we are still happily married after 11 years and 3 children later. So these posters that are cutting you down on the yahoo board are just assuming a marriage like that will not work because of the age difference but believe me it works and I’m proof of it.

One pair alone cannot be named proof, that such a marriage will work.
There are numbers of pairs where a similar marriage didn't work.
Marriage is so important, a pair should know each other before for some years, so marriage with 16 years is in my opinion too early. You are after 11 years happily married. Would your wife say the same from her point of view?

We are use to the western culture. In many others they marry young. However they are much more mature at an early age.
