Is that quite the right way to put it? I thought Christianity was a Trinitarian faith.

I don't care if it is the right way, that comment has just made my day. I can't remember when I've laughed so hard. Oh wait, yes I can, every time I come on to R&S and read uplifting experiences that god gave people

Jehovah is the one true God. Jesus is God's son.

Not all of Christianity is a Trinitarian faith. Notice what is said about the Trinity here:

The New Encyclopædia Britannica says: “Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord’ (Deut. 6:4). . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. . . . By the end of the 4th century . . . the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since.”—(1976), Micropædia, Vol. X, p. 126.

THROUGHOUT the ancient world, as far back as Babylonia, the worship of pagan gods grouped in threes, or triads, was common. That influence was also prevalent in Egypt, Greece, and Rome in the centuries before, during, and after Christ. And after the death of the apostles, such pagan beliefs began to invade Christianity.

Historian Will Durant observed: “Christianity did not destroy paganism; it adopted it. . . . From Egypt came the ideas of a divine trinity.” And in the book Egyptian Religion, Siegfried Morenz notes: “The trinity was a major preoccupation of Egyptian theologians . . . Three gods are combined and treated as a single being, addressed in the singular. In this way the spiritual force of Egyptian religion shows a direct link with Christian theology.”

Peter: Yes; Jesus Christ is God. Just like if your last name were Johnson ... all the members of your immediately family would have the last name "Johnson". The trinity can be best understood with the analogy of a lit candle. The heat being the Holy Spirit, the light being Jesus Christ and the flame being the Father ... all three in one. It is utterly amazing that the very God [Jesus ] emptied Himself of His God-Head characteristics, became a flesh and blood human being, lived here, on the earth with His creation, didn't do one thing "wrong" (sinless), brought up to the Roman courts on trumped-up charges, flogged with a cat o' nine whip, had rods swung at Him, made to carry His own cross part way to the execution site, had spikes driven through Him and hung on a cross ... all for giving every human a future in eternity !!! Yes; Jesus was the very same God of the Old Testament and New Testament ... the "Alpha" and "Omega" !!!

Xians believe that Jesus is the "Son of God", while at the same time being one with God. Thus you have Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

In other words, Xians believe that 1 + 1 + 1 = 1. Too bad it equals 3; making Christianity a polytheistic religion, not a monotheistic one as they like to claim.

Since we fight for superiority we assume that Jesus and His Father also fight for superiority. Not true. They agree perfectly as one unit.
The Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 28:18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Jesus and Jehovah are not the same person, the christians that say Jesus is God are effing annoying and also stupid on the grounds that it would mean Jesus overthrew his father.
