Oh, this is a fun question. I bet you'll get a ton of ideas!

I'll give you my favorite "special" dessert. It's fancy, but not hard.

You'll need (for 2 servings) 2 pears, and one little clamshell package of raspberries. You can use frozen raspberries, too. A little sugar, and a little white wine, and a vanilla bean. (exact measurements aren't really important, it's all to taste.)

Peel the pears, and if you have a knife or a tool that will work (a melon baller is good) remove the seeds, from the bottom. It's prettiest if you leave the stem.

Put the wine and the vanilla bean in a saucepan with some sugar, bring to a boil, and put in the pears. Just simmer them until they're nice and soft.

Put the raspberries and some more sugar in a blender and bland until it's a nice sauce. Strain it to get rid of the seeds.

Put one pear in each of two pretty bowls, and pour raspberry sauce on top. A little scoop of ice cream wouldn't be bad either, especially if it's chocolate.

Hope you have a great visit!

This is an easy one...

In a Pyrex container (approx 9x14), put in a single layer of boneless chicken (breasts, leg meat, or a combo).

in a blender...
pour in about a quart of BBQ sauce, 1-1/2 tablespoons of crushed garlic, 1 large jalapeno which you have cut into fairly big pieces, about 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce, and about 1/8 cup of water so it will pour more easily - liquefy & pour over chicken.

cook in a 250 degree oven for 3-1/2 hours, then sear well on a BBQ.

this receipe also works well with pork ribs - they are flat, so you can put in 2 layers with sauce between them.

It is not quite as good, but if you want to skip the BBQ, make sure the meat is covered with sauce, add a few handfuls of small whole mushrooms scattered on the top, and cook for 1-3/4 hours in a 350 degree oven.

to Sheik - sounds great, but I don't have the money, time, or patience

My favourite food is popcorn. You take a large skillet and put some vegtable oil in it and put three kernels of popcorn in the pan. Then turn on the flame/buner. When all three kernals have popped the oil is warm enough and you can add the rest of the popcorn (about a handful) Put the cover on the pan and shake it over the flame on your stove until the popping sound stops. Empty the popcorn into a large bowl and add salt to taste.

Here's an easy one. Put boneless chicken breasts in a baking pand an pour catalina salad dressing over them and bake them in the oven until done. About 30 - 45 minutes at 400 degrees or until done. It all depends on how much chicken you want to make.
I sounds weird but it's really good. Serve with mashed potatoes and a salad.
