Earlier last month I went to the hair salon and I got a haircut, a few days later my head started to itch, upon further inspection I realized I had a fungal infection. The pharmacist gave me a medicine and told me to use it when I used it for two weeks I stop, because the itching stoped but then the itching started back. Should I use the medicine for a month before stoping what should I do.

This is a real problem. You need to call the doc and tell him or her, or the pharmacist. Then STAY ON whatever they tell you...for as long as they tell you.

If you don't, you may cause the infection to get used to the treatment, become resistant to it, and then it's going to be a lot harder to get rid of. That is so with any antibiotic or similar treatment. Folks feel better and stop taking the meds, or miss a few times. Antibiotic treatments must be taken correctly or you are buying sickness.

You should always take any prescription untill its course is done. So you should either go back and get the prescription again, or check into alternative methods (acidophilous, olive leaf extract, grapefruit seed extract, etc.) but you should definetly be using a tea tree shampoo and conditioner in the mean time.

Oh yea, and the amount of time you have a fungal infection all depends on you, it could be a week or it could be a very looooonng time. Eat foods that are alkalining to the body (lots of greens, lean meats, pumkin seeds, avoid sugar), try not to use styling products they contain to much junk in them, and use your remedy till it is gone, it is better safe than sorry.

I had gotten a really bad case of ringworm from a cat I had gotten from the pound and my doctor put me on Diflucan...for 10 days...but it worked awesome! You could try spraying some lysol into something like a shotglass and using a q-tip to dap it on there too. Something I tried that worked, but not something a doctor might reccomend...

Nipples don't hurt because of yeast infection.. The yeast infection is in your vagina not on your boobs.... I suggest you take a pregnancy test if you are unsure.
