The BBC site has a variety of different language courses online, including French, Spanish, German, and even Mandarin Chinese.

The courses have obviously been designed by learning professionals, as they work with every different learning style. I regularly use the Spanish Steps part of the site to keep my Spanish fresh.

I can't praise these courses highly enough.

I learn online myself. I don't know if you're willing to pay, i wasn't, so here is a website that lists all other websites that are free and teach you whatever language you want. Most languages are listed here (it's called three online language courses):
