Because of the difficulty in breeding them. They are large, so often they have to do a c-section to deliver them. Also they can usually only carry 1-2 puppies at a time.

I dont know why. I would think that the bulldogs would cost the same as the other dogs.

If the cost seems like a lot I wouldn't recommend getting one. They are prone to respiratory problems,skin problems,hip/leg problems. They're cute/sweet but they will cost you more in the long run. If you do make sure you get one from a reputable breeder, see the parents, ask what kind of problems have popped up in the family line, if they say none they're lying!

Anything pure breed cost a lot, I got a puggle for 995 $.

They are difficult to breed and very popular. Why don't you adopt a pound puppy? There are so many great dogs just waiting to come home with you for very little money.

it depends on the breed and if they are registered you can find a good bulldog for cheep if you just look around on websites and places.

They are expensive because breeding them is expensive. But they are usually worth every dime! Wonderful dogs, great family pets, lots of fun and lots of farts, as well!

Particularly, I think most pure bred dogs are priced high.
If you found some bull dogs that are more than usual, it may be that some are blue eyed or solid colors of blue, white, black. They may be royalty.

its a pure breed , rich people like them, so the prices go up especiallty because its a rare dog.
