There is something that I'm waiting for, it has to do with another person, but I'm having a lot of trouble keeping patient. A little over a year ago, I thought God put something on my heart, so I prayed about it and asked him if it was true. I thought he said yes. But now, I'm so impatient and I have such a hard time having faith that God with follow through. Anyone who has been in a similar situation or anyone with advice or encouragement, please respond. Thank You

You need to look objectively at your situation, god isn't going to help you.

Trust me, there were thousands of people on 9/11 and during Katrina who were hoping for help. There were 6 million Jews hoping for a little hand. God isn't going to suddenly jump down and help you with your love life.

Try to remember first, that God is in control. You really do need to keep patient, because whatever it was that you asked of Him, it may not be time for it right now - maybe by granting it, it would end up not being good for you - we don't know - also, keep in mind that when you ask for a thing, God takes into consideration what affect it will have on his other children - other people. He will do for you what is best, but at the time when it will be the best.
Trust Him to know better than we do. Hang in there. It just may be that while you're waiting, he thinks you might need a little help on a patience issue, and He's using this opportunity to teach you that patience ....just a thought.

When we ask we should receive it as already being done...in other words rest it with our Lord.Trust Him. He will keep His word but you need to release it to God totally - 100% - in order for Him to do His job. Also be sure this is God's will for you and that you heard clearly. You can do that by sharing your situation with another Christian or your pastor to see if there is confirmation. I have been in similar situations and thought the answer to my prayer would be immediate but turned out to be much later in life...He never fails. His timing is perfect - wait on Him. In the mean time forget about it for now and continue on with your life. Things and people need to be lined up for God's will to be manifested and that takes time. Keep the faith.

Maybe there is some underlying issue that you need to work out because being extremely impatient can be from stress, resentment and disappointment. just relax a bit and take life one day at a time

It is very hard, but if he is not really the right one, then your patience will serve you well. I have been through this, and it seems near impossible, but it seems that a new horizon is appearing. Remember, at all times God knows exactly what He wants and for whom and when.

It may be that God will make this happen but it will be in his time not your time. Or it may be that the answer to your prayer is that he is not accepting this request as part of the plan he has for your life. It is best to pray for his will for your life and not your will. After all, when you gave your life to God, you surrendered to your own desires and will and gave God reign in your life. He knows what is best for you. Submit to God.

patience, my friend.
the Bible says "wait upon the Lord."
I have had answers to prayers that took two years or more to come to pass.....
after God had dealt with the matter in His own time, on His schedule and in the best way possible.
Remember, God answers prayers according to His will.....
not ours.
Steel your faith.
God has already made a way!!
