There are many good hotels in Pattaya that are very reasonable, provides great Thai hospitality and has an awesome location. This includes Welcome Jomtien Hotel on Jomtien Beach, Welcome Plaza Hotel in Central Pattaya and Jomtien Thani. These three star hotels are excellent and provides great value for money.

For more information and description on Pattaya hotels, I suggest you check out www.excelloz.com. The website is user friendly and will help you make the best Pattaya hotel choice.

Pattaya these days looks more like a giant red light district, Patpong of the beach if you like. I went there at the beginning of December and stay in the hotel on the hill at the tip of South Pattaya, there're many great hotel there; namely, Royal Cliff Beach hotel, very nice but kind of upmarket. Try Asia Pattaya if you're on budget, it's close by on the hill too and much cheaper. Somehow, Pattaya's filled with Russians. Becareful.

There are so many hotels that are "guest" friendly. I do not suggest to be right in the middle of the action. There are good hotels on Soi 2, Sabai Lodge New Wing and across from Second Rd called Sabai Inn. These are both walking distance and baht bus to where the bars, clubs etc. are. Also the prices are very good as well. No hassle with guests and a nice safe place to stay. Visit their website www. sabailodge.com

The only way to know is to ask. Given Pattaya's reputation I would doubt that many hotels would care about who you bring back to your room at night. I would stay away from family style lodgings. Just follow all the other bald fat middle aged men.

I don't suggest you to go to Pattaya. It's very touristic place with crazy nightlife and prostitues. More than that, the beach is not beautiful.

If you want to relax on the nice beach. You can go to the near island, Koh samed in Rayong Province. Not far from pattaya. Very nice beach and cheap cute bungalow.
