They can root out the cancer in their midst. Simply turning a blind eye as they have done is no longer acceptable. If they want to be a part of our society they have to show a willingness to challenge radicals within their community.

Anyone can get a respectful place in society. We should all respect eachother.
Nemo Credete, why are you jumping to stereotypes of this kind? I know a lot of Muslims. They are perfectly ordinary people. I also know a lot about Islam and it doesn't teach violence or hatred. Why are you labelling all Muslims as fanatics? It's not as if there are a few good Muslims and most are evil fanatics. Quite the opposite. There are a few fanatics and most are genuine, good people. There are also Christian fanatics and many good Christian people. Every religion has a minority of fanatics.
Most societies already respect Muslims.

So you think those that follow a religion are not human? What about converts? Do you think that DNA changes suddenly as they say they believe in only one God and the Last Day? Wow, are you ever a big flashback to Hitler. Hitler managed to convince his country that the Jews were inhuman as well and not worthy of life. It seems you are a great fan of his, according to this ridiculous question. Do you even know any muslims? Did you know there are many muslim doctors, lawyers, scientists, anything. Did you know that a muslim woman feels just as much pain when her child is harmed as a non muslim? Did you know that labor hurts just as much for her as it does for a non muslim woman? Did you know a muslim man, a true one going according to the commands of the Quran and not twisted culture, feels just as much love for his wife and children as a non muslim? Did you know that the reason they prefer for the women to stay home is so they can be relaxed after being stressed by the children, to reduce the anxiety levels and have a more harmonious home? Did you know that she does have the right to work, and chooses not to because she is secure in the knowledge her husband will provide for the family and do his best to make them happy?
What is wrong with you people that you've developed this mentality? Have you forgotten your education, especially in the areas of science and logic? Have you forgotten how to use rationale to solve problems instead of crazy assanine stereotypes and assumptions? This muslim woman pities you greatly for having such idiotic thoughts.

Muslims are already very respectablt but your society is not accepting the reality , well stop watching that biased media and open up your eyes, look around with open mind and open heart, and analyze the things on your own , no doubt you will see that muslims are very respectable peoples, and you peoples were wrong not to accept that.S for this you will have to change your mind and its none of muslim's jobs.

They have a respectful place in our society. They have the oil. Give them respect or you don't get any. They don't want you to convert over to their religion(there are only so many virgins ya know). Christianity is the pushy bloodthirsty religion(read the bible and count the numbers (and who - mothers childen babes in arms - that are killed in the name of God) If that book is suppose to be accurate in all things then the killings are accurate too. How many is a multitude, or and entire race? Stop skipping over those sections and count. And the old Test. has multitudes more.

Christians generally know very little about the muslim faith. I know I don't know much. Throw in 9/11 and there you have a religion massively misunderstood. If muslims feel they are not respected, they could do more to educate people about their beliefs.

But, if you're asking how muslims can be respected by the "rest of society", then that's a tough one. As more people come to realize that the muslim goal is world domination and total submission to "allah", fewer will feel comfortable with them.
