the best answer I agree is with what a few have said, he may be shy, he may treasure you and feel more comfortable to show you how he feels in private. If you have not talked with him about it at all, he probably has no idea you feel this way, talk to him, he could tell you better than anyone.

baby listen to me some men are like that. they don't show you affection out in public because they have too much pride. they feel if they act lovey dovey out in public they will look funny as in soft. some men want to come off as strong and well grounded. it's just that thing about them that some women will never understand. you may feel that he doesn't want anyone to know that you guys are together or he's hiding something. but that's not the case. he loves you he really does. but the pride and the way they feel ,that's just something some men will never do. they tell you they love you inside the bedroom but out. they just act strange. there is nothing wrong with it really. but not every men are like that. this is just apart of some men,it wont change. unless you tell him how you feel.

He may be a private person and just rather show affection when others aren't watching. It's an intimate thing for some. He may also just be shy. Discuss the matter with him if it truly concerns you.

Maybe he is embarrassed 2 b around u in public or he is shy 2 show his true feelings in public

Some people don't like to display affection in public.
If this bothers you, talk to him. Let him know this is something you need, even if it's only holding hands.
If he complains against it, then may this isn't the relationship you need. That's always a possibility. You have to weigh what is important to you in a relationship, and what isn't.

Some men are just like that. My husband is one of those, says he doesn't like 'public displays of affection', but it has improved over the years.
Try telling him that it bothers you. And be realistic about what you want from him.

As a guy,,,many guys are afraid to show their feelings...they are afriad some of their friends will see them and tease them about it.
But as myself I was not afriad..I was dating her not my friends...
If they was real good friends they would not tease me about holding hands or kissing her..Plus he is more worried about what his friends think than what he thinks...or what you think..
He is young...he may grow out of it..
