For instance, the Bible says that we must believe in Jesus or we cannot be saved. In fact, Paul wrote about the Jews that they were "forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they may be saved". If a man in China who died three years after Jesus could not here the Gospel, would God have condemned him to burn for all eternity in the fires of Hell? There are two possibilities.

1. No. In this case, wouldn't it be better to not spread the Gospel? After all, if one is condemned for rejecting the Gospel, but not if he never had the chance to hear it he would be better off never having heard it.

2. Yes. In this case, God would be condemning a man to burn for all eternity for the sin of having been born in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Something to think about next time you want to send some missionary to some place that you believe needs the Gospel.

This is a wonderful, thought provoking question. I Believe that missionaries who claim that they are coming to those places that they consider backward, for the purpose of helping them...are actually coming there to fulfill their own agenda, which is to convert as many people to the Christian religion as they can. Many of them may actually believe that converting these people is helping them, but they are, in truth, harming them. And the reason you stated is one of the reasons that conversion is harmful, but certainly not the only reason...by any means!

Being saved does not only mean being saved from Hell. It also means being saved from a life of sin.Ignorance may be bliss but knowledge is good for soul. A person is not better off not having heard the gospel. He is still lost.

god is understanding. he knows if you had no choice. if you were never given the opportunity to hear the good news, than he should be forgiving. however, if you reject the bible for your own reasons, you have heard of it's glory, etc than he should not be so forgiving.

i hope that god lets everyone into heaven because if jesus died for all our sins, shouldn't we all be forgiven and be granted admission. i think heaven should be more like a soup kitchen and less like a gated community. really, this is more of a wish than anything.

You have a fundamental missunderstanding... From the begining to this day and untill God ends this earth... it is the rejection of God in the begining by man that seperated Mankind from God.... God then provided a way for any who wanted to to come to Him.... that way too was rejected by the overwhelming majority...God then ended that system and provided The Way.... All of mankind was and is already seperated from God and God will not accept them... He will only accept those who come to Him as He prescribes.... It has been, from the first rejection, too late for mankind as a whole.... only a few will ever have the last chance...and only a few of those will actualy accept what God offers.... the majority have always been and will continue to be....lost..... you are being offered the oportunity in this posting to hear God's offer... if you would like to exercize your option to accept you may email me and I can get you started....the rest will be between God and you.

Yo Darryl
Isn't it better to point out to expose there is more information to be had ? different views and people lifestyles so on??
Compliment and praise the Missionary. Even if you have had the education to find your own way because you have heard the word and chose your own path, but some missionary provided that for you.
SO thank them and pray for their safety.

No
God says in the Quran

This means God never tries a person with something greater than they can bear - a reason suicide is forbidden .It also means it is impossible for one man even a prophet to take all teh sins of the wolrd on his shoulders as some religions belive- every human is responsible for his own actions.

"On no soul does God place a burden greater than it can bear"
Quran 002.286

Your question is a "thinking question", here is something to think about.....God has commanded us to " go out into the world and preach the gospel, so we cant not send missionaries out..

if the Gospel is preached, it has the power to change evil hearts

so if you were in an area where the gospel was not preached, and somehow met God's conditions for rightousness apart from salvation, you would be in luck

but if you were evil, you would have no opportunity to change your eternal destiny

so no, your premise is flawed

the Gospel, that is the "good news" is that there is a way to escape being evil. that is salvation through Christ

try it, you'll like it

1Cr 10:13 But remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can't stand up against it. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it.

God speaks through many things, including our conscience, nature. As far as I know, the Chinese were mostly Buddhist. Can you say a Buddhist who believes in reincarnation gets to heaven? I sure can't.

P.S. I'm gonna be a missionary. Those people die in their sins.
