When I wake up in the morning, my hair looks disorganised and messy. Do silk or satin fabrics keep one's hair intact at night sleeps?
What are other alternatives?

I sleep on a satin pillow case which I bought from Linens and Things called "Hair Protector". My hair is still messy when I wake up but it looks less frizzy and feels less tangly. But because satin is more smooth than cotton it causes less friction between your hair and the pillow case thus making your hair less prone to split ends and such. If you don't like satin pillow cases then you could also wrap you hair in a silk/satin scarf but that seems to take more time.
