In the NT of the Bible, Jesus was called "the way, the truth and the light". Mohammed was called a light in the Koran. Buddha was called "the enlightened one". I think most prophets are considered to be a "light" by the people who follow their teachings.

The Quran calls Prophet Muhammed a light - a light that brings people out of the darkness of polytheism and idolatery to the worship of God alone
"O Prophet! Truly We have sent thee as a Witness, a Bearer of Glad Tidings, and Warner,- And as one who invites to God's (grace) by His leave, and as a lamp spreading light. "
Qur'an (33:45 - 46)
"A Book which We have revealed unto thee, in order that thou mightest lead mankind out of the depths of darkness into light - by the leave of their Lord - to the Way of (Him) the Exalted in power, worthy of all praise!" (Quran 14:1)

NO!
Jesus IS the light of God's love for us. But He was not sent as a prophet any more than He was sent to be our High Priest, the full sacrifice for our sins, our eternal King, our savior and friend.
John 12:44-50
44 Then Jesus cried out, "When a man believes in me, he does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. 45 When he looks at me, he sees the one who sent me. 46 I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.
47 "As for the person who hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save it. 48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. 49 For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. 50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say."

Light can be perceived either as particles or as waves. Space devoid of darkness can be understood as Light.
Now who is god?
