I know do they think that they might just bump into someone and have sex...... Sort of shoots down the whole theory that girls dont put out on the first date.... When they carry condoms round with them on a daily basis.... Even when they go to work..... Strange

There is no more of a purpose to it than there would be for you to carry a condom on a night out without her........I'd consider this evidence of bad intent, if not cheating.

I always have some in my bag, so I never have to think about it. It has nothing to do with planning to use it ona particular occasion. Also, there have been times when others have needed but didnt have any.
