Twins huh!? Well, when you get there make sure not to drool over the fact that they are twins. They get that all of the time, and they are sick of it.
For one thing, the kids will not be up the whole time! The TV is the best thing to do with them, that's free. Play some music, have a dance contest. Talk about school. Watch more TV. Teach them cool games like capture the flag, or hide and go seek in the dark!
I babysit too, and the first time you do, the kids will show you who's boss. Just make sure that they are better the next time!
Good Luck!

First you want to get them outside to burn off some energy. Sledding is always fun, or you can make snow taffy
http://www.nanjay.com/DillyDoodles/Christmas/SnowTaffy.htm
Its not what you do outside exactly, just keep them active and out there to get some fresh air.
THEN it is time for a movie marathon! My daughter [9] likes the Addams family movies [Addams Family and Adams Family Values]. You can buy them or rent them from the library/movie store or even borrow them. You want something non babyish [do NOT go Disney at this age some of them are offended!]. 2 movies, with a supper break inbetween and a lot of cool snacks during the movie [bananas coated with chocolate chips, coke floats, etc]. Lights off movie theatre style! Boys like them too since there are a lot of cool jokes in them.
Have fun - its an awesome age!

Colorado has snow right now, right? try some sledding or just build a fort and bring a thermos of hot chocolate to have when it is done.
For indoors activities, introduce them to a new board game, have a joke-a-thon (tell as many jokes as you can) and bring a good movie. For that age, most Disney or Pixar animated films are perfect, but check with their mom or dad first.
Have fun! (hopefully you won't have trouble telling them apart- one is a girl, one is not.)

For kids in that age group outdoors is the best idea.Start by taking them to the local zoo, they wont appreciate the idea to begin with cause probably they dont know any better but believe me once theyre there they wont be willing to leave the place,i really think its worth a try and you dont have anything to lose,Cheers and a happy new year

Board games, freeze dance, you can try a movie that appeals to both boys and girls like cars, ice age, etc. Outside they can ride bikes, scooters, or just go for a nature scavenger hunt. Make sure you offer plenty of healthy snax and a good dinner too.

first of all 9 year olds can very easily entertain themselves so dont worry if u run out of things to do!
but of course it would be nice to join in with them as well......
maybe you could bring some bats and balls for example and let them go outside to play.
bring a movie that you can all watch together?
maybe cook something with them, or making cornflake buns etc?
play some board games with them?
look on the google.com im sure there are some ideas on there!

See if the parents will rent a movie, make popcorn, play board games with them or card games. Make sure they have their dinner, wash up, and put them to bed around 9pm.
