I would like to be able to think for myself. Following an organized religion is the right step towards failure.

All praise is due to Allah and peace and blessings be upon the beloved Propthet Muhammad. I prefer to be Muslim because I was once a Catholic and i never got that feeling of inner-peace and happiness that i recieve now in Islam. I look forward to going to the musjid whereas going to church was a task for me. Everybody is welcoming, friendly, and outgoing at the Islamic Center. I also feel comfortable having no doubts about what I am doing is the right thing because of the LOGIC and proofs povided in the Qur'an and Sunnah(teachings) of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Islam is not just a religion for me but a complete, satisfactory way of life. Allah knows best.

I am a Christian, but I believe if I were a Muslim, the practices of Islam would bring me in contact with God also.

Islam is a beautiful religion, despite what some think.

I grew up fundamentalist Christian, then went catholic for a while. Followed an ecclectic Pagan path for quite a few years, and now I consider myself Unitarian Universalist with some Pagan seasoning. :)
I think there is truth to be found in most religious teachings. Not that I accept all of it for myself, but there is something to learn from any faith or most people.

I am what I prefer to be... a Buddhist because what the Buddha taught works and makes logical sense.

However if I had another "choice" without the knowledge I had now I'd have picked "Islam". It made more sense than Christianity did to me while I was studying religions.

Muslim because I know I am following ALLAH'S religion and I am treated well by my brothers and sisters in Islam. I know I am respected for who I am and I know I am pleasing ALLAH by being a Muslim woman and following the Qur'an and Hadith and Shariah Laws.

Man I'd like to be in whatever religion lets me sleep around get drunk and party all the time, but unfortunatly for my sinful side I fear and love God, so a refrain from these actions. I've tasted both sides of the Grass and I like the one I'm on now.
