Tampons should not hurt if inserted properly. I mostly use pads, but I do use tampons on occasion when swimming or for a heavy flow day. Why don't you try a tampon with a pad? Try Playtex or Tampax Pearl- they both have plastic applicators that are easy to insert. I use Always pads, but try what you think will keep your comfortable and protected. Check up on things as often as you can, that should help with the leaking.

What is the question? There are no little beads in an Always pad. Sounds to me like you need to change it more often.

maybe you should change your pad a little more often or get a different brand for heavy bleeding.

Shouldn't be a problem. They wouldn't put anything bad for you in a pad. You may want to consider calling or emailing the company if you have a problem with their products.
