Ok. Wondering how to go about this. Dated this girl, things were going great, she broke it off (still not really sure why) but we continue to talk. I absolutely love her, and I think she has strong feelings for me which scared her out of it. So, how do I tell her that I want to still talk to her, but only when I know she is talking to me or seeing me, not because she's bored or feeling lonely, but because she wants to pursue something with me? Any suggestions? I don't want to burn the bridge, but I do want to send a clear message that I'm not playing around anymore.

I think you answered you own question.
Tell her you still want to be friends with her, but you will not accept being a last resort.

Also tell her that if she and you are to try to pursue something again it will not be on the rebound.

Don't sugarcoat it, say it just as you have typed it here. Women love confidence in a man. By showing that you will no longer tolerate B.S. she might view you differently.

Listen, it's not as easy as "be honest" (ashley & others). I know it's sounds like the right thing to do, but is not. Clearly this girl has it's doubts. She's probably quite young (<20), so she won't be looking for something "serious".

If I were you, I'll let things to cool off, so, both of you may think. It's also clear that you're crazy about her, if she feel the same way, she'll go back to you. That's a fact, in case you don't know. As you said, don't burn the bridge.

PD: If you want something, let it free. Heard of ??? Is not crap, those strong feelings won't go anywere, trust me.

Be honest. Tell her just what you said, that you love her and that you are interested in something serious. Ask her why she broke it off in the first place so you will know for the next relationship if it is something you need to work on. Actions speak louder than words. You have to be able to talk. As my granny used to say, People always do exactly what they want to do and the rest is just excuses...if she broke up with you, let her go. If you were that important to her she would be trying to get back with you.

You have to be honest with her and tell her that your feelings from your relationship haven't changed, and you still see her as more then just a friend; and you need to know if she feels the same way. It also might help if you find out the reason she broke up with you.

What good is anything you say if you don't know why she dumped you? You're shooting in the dark, dude. You need to know why she deep-sixed you and it will be one of three things:

1. Her friends or family don't like you
2. She found out something she doesn't like about you
3. Another guy
