I had a license suspension in 2002 which lasted until 2004. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how long after I got my license back I have to keep a clean driving record?

It's been almost 3 years with no violations and I just got a bs ticket for speeding in TN (they say I was doing 17 over but I was only doing 7 over, my cruise was set and they "paced" me instead of radaring me!) I'm trying to figure out if I need to make a big deal of this and fight it so I don't lose my license but if I'm in the clear I'll just pay the fine and take the points even though it pisses me off the cop is a liar. I just need to know if I'll lose my license again if I take the ticket.

My previous suspension has nothing to do with any traffic violations. I have no points on my license currently and I have a Florida driver's license.

An observation: It's amazing how stupid some people are...

This is impossible to answer without knowing what state you are in, what the offense was that caused the suspension, and what other violations you may have on your record. It is probable that points over 5 years ago are not used to determine whether your license will be suspended, but no definitive answer can be given. Contact your local DMV (or equivalent) for their points system.

they can write you a ticket for doing 1 over the speed limit!.leanr how to drive . Its better if idiots like you stay off the road so then others can drive safely without fearing that the idiots will cause an accident possibly harming them.
