I love Comedy. I been trying to bust into the world of stand up. Everyone who meets me says I'm one of the funniest people they met. It's when i'm trying to be funny I fall to pieces. What can i do to solve this problem?

RELAX!

After you've tried out the jokes on your friends, try them out on people who don't know you so well (like relatives of your friends but one at a time). This way you get a no-pressure audience that doesn't know you well enough to fill in the blanks your friends might have assumed because they know you. After you've touched up the joke try it out on another person. Once you are satisfied try it at an Open Mic Night or something.

Comedy takes a lot of time, once people in your area know you, you'll be able to try out jokes on strangers. Good Luck!

Why don't you try a course at the Learning Annex? I think they have a stand up course for beginners. They have experts who can help you hone your skills. The website is below. It lists the classes they offer depending on where you live. Good luck!

Try using everyday life situations in your stand up. If funny things happen to you or you are just funny around your friends, etc. use those experiences. Sorry if this can't be any help. Good luck!

Look at it like it is just a job - nothing else - no lives depends on your performance!@~
