Ask him, as long as you two are faithful to each other that is ALL that matters.

A friend's husband is Egyptian and he says you can wear the ring on either hand. If it's a plain gold band then it's a wedding ring. He said if it were a family ring, then it would have a stone or some sort of engraving on it. But a plain gold ring is a wedding ring no matter which hand it's on

It means he's married.
Depending on what part of the world you're from the ring can be worn on either hand. And some countries use the same ring for engagement as well as the wedding.
The ring is not what makes a person married. There are many, for a variety of reasons, wear no wedding ring at all. Doesn't make them any less married.
It would be his actions & his conversation that I would be more concerned about.

usually if a man wears his ring on the right hand it symbolizes the spouse is deceased..Although, since he has something on his left hand why dont you have him go get an x-ray to see what it is then maybe it can be fixed so he can wear his ring on that finger. Although, if he is being faithful you really have nothing to worry about.

I say take that man to a doctor and have it checked out. If my fiance were to not wear his ring after our marriage is final, I would be filing for divorce. The ring finger is a sacred finger symbolizing your marriage. And if he's not wearing a ring on that finger, it's most likely women might get the wrong idea.

First, I would make him an appointment with a doctor and see if he will have it x-rayed. He could be right that there is something no right with that finger.
As a funny note: From what I understand, several years ago, gay men wore their wedding bands on the right hand, so the worst that could happen is he could get hit on by a guy. I hope you found that little tid bit funny.
Happy new year!!

There are cultures/traditions that have the husband and wife wear their rings on the right hand. My husband is from Eastern Europe and asked me to follow their tradition. We have friends and family here - from there - and they all wear wedding rings on their right hands. I like it, it's different.

Get the wedding ring finger fixed. Go to the Dr.. His reason is liget..In the meantime, it would be better not to wear it at all.
The meaning on the other hand, I have always heard is that
your husband is deceased.
Happy New Year to y'all

Gosh, there are a whole lot of variables concerning your dilemma. First of all, is your marriage a happy one for both of you? It may be a way for him to somehow deny his marriage psychologically. On the other hand, maybe it really is a comfort issue. Does he go out a lot without you (bars, dance clubs, etc.)? Does he show interest in a female co-worker? Honey, I would be observant of these behaviors. That's about all the suggestions that come to mind. Wishing you the best...

He is wearing his ring so I wouldn't worry about it. If he does it consistently, then he is honoring his commitment to you. When he takes the ring off, if he has a tan line, then you know that he's wearing his ring religiously. It's a wedding band. it's clearly visible.
