i have come to know that many spiritual masters have recommended that the head of a person should kept covered all the times,and specially at the time of praying or meditating it must be covered.please do tell me the rationales behind this recomendation,if there are any?

In Sikhism all Sikhs are required to cover their heads as respect to their gurus and others. They are required to wear a turban and this is part of their religion and teachings also identifies a person as a Sikh, it should be worn with respect, like all the gurus wore.xxxx
