You would be a Catholic if you were attending a Catholic Church

You would be a Christian if you were a follower of Christ, had trusted Him as your savior and were seeking to live your life under His direction

lots of people say they believe in God, but live their life as if there is no God

James 2:19
You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!

if you are truly seeking God I will be glad to assist you in any way I can

Depends, do you read the Bible? To be catholic you have to go to mass. At least in my opinion. Because of what catholics believe you will need to be at a mass to be able to be catholic. However to be a Christian you just need to read and follow the bible. (And yes catholic is a time of Christian) Oh and you should also go to church, (Church: Wherever two or more are gathered in the name of the Father).

One of The True Christian Faith would not ask the question you ask..... All who come to God in The Way He prescribes will receive His free gift of Salvation. These wll become of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith. Only those of The Church will enter Heaven..... and those of The Church know they are of The Church

There are very few... very few... roman"catholics" who are of The Church.

I think you would know if you are Catholic. Do you believe and profess all that the holy Catholic Church believes, teaches, and proclaims to be revealed by God?

Is Christ your Savior and do you obey God? If so you are Christian. Do you have a priest do your talking to God and do you have no knowledge of the Bible, then you are Catholic.

..Dagconst1 or whatever is just angsty from his beating, don't sweat it.

We can't even tell if you're CHRISTIAN if you don't tell us what you believe about Jesus. :) There are too many variables to list, which could all change which religion you 'fit' under. Take some time, sort out your thoughts.

Catholic(Roman Catholic) is a sect of christians that believe the bible can only be translated by the priest(not you) and they believe in the holiness of the mother "Mary", and they have Rosary beads and other rituals.
You will definitely know if you are a Catholic cause they won't let you forget.

Christians walk in Gods path not on their own path.

"Truly, truly I (Jesus) say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God." "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be surprised that I said to you "You MUST be born again" (John 3:3,5,6)

"But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him" (Romans 8:9)

"Come to Me (Jesus), all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My load is light" (Matthew 11:28-30)

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name; who were born, not of natural descent, nor by physical impulse, nor by the will of a man, but from God." (John 1:12,13)

"And I (Jesus) say to you "Ask, and it shall be given unto you, Seek, and you shall find, Knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened. Now suppose one of you fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? Or if he is asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he? If you then being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him?" (Luke 11:9-13)

"All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out" (John 6:37)

"Behold, I (Jesus) stand at the door and knock; If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him, and will dine with him, and he with Me" (Revelation 3:20)

"For if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart one believes, resulting in rightstanding with God, and with the mouth confession is made, resulting in salvation....For Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus) will be saved" (Romans 10:9,10,13)
