my boyfriend is addicted to precription drugs, he had back surgery and wants to get off but don't want to go through withdrawls

I have used and seen being used clonidine for different withdrawal symptoms, neer for vicodin though, If his doctor feels comfortable with this drug and he is going to start cutting back on his vicodin uptake then it may be worth a try, otherwise unfortunately there is no specific drug for vicodin addiction or withdrawal, good luck
