What you describe sounds like plantar fasciitis. It generally always is worse when you get out of bed, then the pain subsides a little as you begin to walk.
P.F. is minute tears in the plantar fascia usually caused by poor support of the sole of your foot, although athletes that do a lot of jumping get it from the repetitive stress on the foot.
If this sounds like your condition a good resource is http://www.coldoneinc.com/Plantar_Fasciitis.html.

You may have strained a muscle and not known it. In 2005 I had horrible pain in my left foot and went to the doc and he said I had torn ligaments on the top of my foot and I had to wear an ugly shoe for about a year. I have no idea where I hurt it. So you might just want to go to the doctor.

Ahh, this is plantar fascitiis. Google it for more information. My teen son had this. It eventually went away with no treatment in several months (just motrin). Sometimes, it can be persistent and need further treatment. I also had it as a teen. It is very painful. It also went away, eventually, on its own. Stretching the back of the heel, every day, is helpful.

Oh yes I do...... You definately need to see a Pediatrist!!! It could be what I had called "Planter's Wart", and Man are they Painful !!! And they wont go away, until the doctor surgically removes it. Trust me on this one!! I had to walk on crutches, and use a Hummer to do my grocery shopping.. Which was very frustrating...... Its either that or bone spurs... But usually Bone Spurs occur on both heals...... And when my Mom had them she had to also see a Pediatrist to have them removed...... But, those usually occur with women who wear high heels alot , in which my Mom was when she worked in Payroll for the fire dept..... So, your's really sounds alot like Planter's Wart, in which I only got it in one foot, like yourself..... I wouldn't put off making an appt,. with the Pediatrist, because it'll only get worse, the longer you put off going...... I'm sorry to say.. Hope you do it, and have a "speedy Recovery!!" Smile!! Oh, and "Happy New Year, to You & Your's!!!"

you probably have planter faciitis which i also havr right now, for the third time in 8 months. the doctor will give you antiinflamatory pills. they have helped . it comes from long periods of walking especially in stores because they are cement floors. you cannot do that anymore or it will come back.

You have bone spurs and once they pulverize the flesh, they
become infected. Go to the doc and he will give you a shot of
Cortizone.

It might be gout. You should go to your doctor. If you drink that can cause that. Or you can just get it.
