Hair cutting?
maybe you can help
Okay I am gonna cut my own hair and my friend says that if you put your hair in a ponytail then cut the end of the ponytail straight it will layer it, will that work and do u know any other ways to cut your own hair easily
it wold be a really high ponytail so it wouldnt be longer in the front than the back also I live in the midle of no where and cant just go to a salon okay they are like and hour and half away so plz dont just tell me dont do it and go to a salon cuz I cant

i layered my own hair a long time ago but i went to a salon the first time but anyway what i did was put all of it up really high except a little bit in the back and trimmed it. then i let a little more down and cut it more than the last layer but not too much,and kept going with letting it down and cutting it. really it makes no sense how i'm saying it but it works. it takes a long time though, so make sure you have plenty of it. i ended up with like 5 layers by the time i was done, and then i angled it at the end. make sure you cut each layer straight though or it will look funny.
i never heard of the ponytail thing. but if it works, i would do it, it sounds a lot simpler than my way.

ok, you need to drop the ponytail idea or your hair will be all different lengths...Put up a big mirror in front of another mirror so you can see the back of your hair.. Then decide the length you want it and start from there, put your hair into sections and start with the bottom section of your hair and work your way up. Dont do anything too fancy until you get used to cutting your own hair then you can add in layers and all that. The first few times you just need to make sure you can get it straight. It is harder than you think so, take your time and start by taking off only a little at a time in case it is not straight..

yeah, i cutted my own hair once because i was courious and well in a hurry, and i ended up cutting all the sorrounding hair and leaving a patch of hair on the top.....thats the best i could do to save to a "decent" style :P

i wouldnt do it, you could really screw up your hair.
have somebody around you cut it. maybe a friend or friends mom
