Been there my friend and it was not a good thing at all, being the younger guy and being the relative of the friend i took no responsibility for my actions and most guys do that when they are the younger ones in the relationship coz they feel they have less to lose.
So my advise is be very careful it could get really messy.

Heck yes. Life is for living. Guys date whoever they want. Women need to learn how to enjoy themselves and stop living by un-fun double standards. Can you imagine a guy asking this question? Anyway, romance is best kept private for the first few months. Friends have a way of sabotaging their friends relationships whether they are related or not. If this guy is of legal age then the 2 of you have a right to date. Just keep it between yourselves til you know where it is going. Good luck.

First, it would depend on how old "you" are. I'm 42 so although a 32 yr old guy is a little below my typical age min, I'd consider it if he and I hit it off well...the "relative of a good friend" wouldn't make any difference either way.
An 18 and 28 yr old would probably have a lot less in common (one of them barely being an adult and having few, if any, adult life experiences...the other probably out of college and having an established career)...but it still wouldn't be "wrong" for them to date...just more challenges based on their differences...

How old are you??
You need to give your age with the sort of question. If you are 23, well of course not. If you are 45, age is less of a factor. Besides, if you are 45, you should be mature enough to figure this out without asking the question to stranger.
On that premise (someone older wouldn't use this service for this question) my answer is no, it is not a good idea.
Next time, remember to include necessary info.

no, think about the lifestyle differences, differences in moral values, even differences in seemingly minor things such as taste in music, reading, or entertainment. i don't want us to unable to relate to each other because of a 'generation gap.' i know, couples don't have to enjoy all the same activities, love all the same restaurants and watch all the same television programs, but without at least something in common, the relationship will be more difficult to sustain, regardless of differences in age. also, let's face it, an older woman is generally well established in her career, while a young man is often just starting out. it takes an extremely mature man to feel comfortable with a higher-earning partner.

Depends on your level of maturity and if you are older the 18. My parents are 9 years apart and have been together for 25 years- so you never know! Go for it.
