Would you want to buy a car with lower mileage (70k-110k), but older than 13years or a cr that is more recent and with more mileage 120k+?


What difference does it make from have lots of highway mileage and regular commutie mileage?

I would take the 70~110k vehicle. Most vehicle start to give up at around 160K. The farther away you are at the start, the better it is.

Highway miles have reduced engine and vehicle wear and tear in comparison to city miles clocked, so a vehicle with a comparitively higher highway miles percentage will be better.

time and miles are both destructive to cars. It all depends on which cars are which. If a recent model is a toyota or honda with 120k +, that's a no-brainer. But it really depends on what kind of cars you are talking about.

Highway miles are steady easy miles on the car, regular commute miles are usually considered to be of the stop and go sort, a little harder on the engine.

Older with less mileage. The newer cars have aluminum suspension parts and engine blocks. They won't last.
