We broke up but we got back together and we spend the whole day talking about it and I told her I'd take her back because she said she made a mistake by breaking up with me.
The next day she was telling me a story about her brother and she made a reference to me as her "ex" and when I asked her "Wait...I thought we were dating again." she said "I don't know". What's going on?

She's playing mind games with you. It's called the "cat and mouse chase." It's the power struggle. When she didn't have you, she saw you as in control. Now that you're willing to take her back, she's feeling more in control.
If you don't want to put up with her games, tell her. Also, act disinterested in her if she's going to do that to you. She probably likes that you're so vulnerable to her. She broke up with you once, what stops her from doing it again? She likes having that power over you.
You need to find a girl that's going to be as crazy for you as you are for her. You need to find a girl that's more consistent in her feelings and the demonstration of her feelings.

Lol, man, sorry to make fun of that, but when a girl happens to retort things like "I dunno" it's best translated to "I DO know, but you figure out my answer on that one, you knockhead".
Like people telling you they're confused at what you say, it's ALWAYS bad news coming up when a girl answers repeatedly: "I don't know". I think you'd better go and take a hard look around for a new gf. This symptom does not lie.

Instead of confusing her and possibly pushing her further away by asking questions, go ahead and do the things you used to do with her. That will either ease her back into the relationship or answer the question for both of you about how she really feels.

1) congrads. every person deserves a second chance. takes a big heart.
2) she might be confused. although it seems really plain to me. and im easily confused and a girl.
3) she might not know what she wants. i have a couple friends like this and you really need to ask her if she wants to be with you or not.
4) get it out in the clear. and just ask her if she wants to stay in a relatinoship with you. becaus if you dont it will drag out and someone will eventually get hurt.

You know, dude, it could be that she doesn't want to date you. Then again, she could just not want to say anything until you do. She might not want to pressure you.

I would just give her some time to think it out. You can't really just get back together and then instantly say "we dating again?" Some people just need time (no offense).
