It will be a mistake. You wanna call him because, your broken heart is still not mend. Well, who broke up you or she? If she, then you will hurt yourself more because maybe she will not pick up you call. Or the first sentence she may ask will be " what do you want"?
Listen, never do that, There is time to win and time to loose.
You won her and now you lost her. Let her go. No turning back. She was not good for you, otherwise she would not have broken your heart. Let her go. She will squeeze your new year EVE.

well it depends on why the person is a ex, if it was something you possibly did and they may still be mad and probaly wont want to talk to you then dont call, but other than that its ok to call if u really want too.
