I asked a girl mate if we'd ever become more than friends(we're close and there's a mutual attraction), her response was:

Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never etc

She said this in a joking way, i asked her to be serious and she just started saying:
Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never,Never etcand changed the subject ASAP.

Was she being serious or just trying to avoid the subject???

I suggested that we'd be a good couple and she responded by saying that "it wouldn't work + not feel right"-MEANING???

Would this indicate she fancies me or not???

She loves you as a friend and not much more. Depending on how long you have been friends she may view you as a brother and intimate feelings for a brother is gross! You never know though. Wait a while and try it from another angle. Ask her what traits you have that a girl might like or be attracted to? She would then go on to point out traits she likes about you and maybe a little more! Good luck!

She was probably joking to try and change the subject.. but not because she likes you.. probably because she doesn't want to go into that and just say yes to give you hope.

And by saying 'it wouldn't feel right etc' that means she doesn't want to be with you.. it's our excuse and easy way out of these situations.

Just ask her to be honest for one moment so you'll know the truth and not be worrying about it for months to come

I don't mean to be rude,but-is this the girl from all your other questions?? I'm sure you are a really lovely guy-but it seems apparent to me that she sees you as nothing more than a dear friend. If you keep pushing this relationship thing on her,you will probably end up losing that friendship. Would you want that?
Value her friendship-and leave it to be just that-A FRIENDSHIP.
There are loads of lovely young ladies out there who I'm sure would be interested in a romantic relationship with you. Concentrate on meeting them.

She might like you because she was trying to avoid the subject and said it in a playful way. If she acts attracted then she might be. If you are as close as you say you are and have been friend that long she probaby does.

You are actually being too careful and you expect her to take risk. What don't you just tell her that you fancy her and if the feeling isnsn't mutual that you'll respect it and be back to your old friendship.
Well, if you want an honest answer, start by being honest and direct.
Good luck.x

She digs you as a friend. Maybe you are her best friend and having sex would complicate the friendship. For example, if you two moved into a serious relationship and it doesn't work out, then it's really hard to return to the friendship that you once shared.

I think it means she wants you as a friend and nothing more...I know, probably not the answer you wanted but, I am sure she is thinking in the long term that if you two wouldnt make it as a couple it would ruin the friendship that you have..

what she is trying to tell you is that she prefers for you to be friends with her as she proably does not feel comfortable with the idea of being a couple. sorry this is a bit blunt but there is know way of saying it otherwise. why dont you try asking her friends and see if they can enlighten you on her feelings for you.best of luck:)
