Yes there is too much hype! It gets to 12 o'clock and it's like 'Oh right,it's over then?'

I do. although having said that I still celebrate and we had a glass of champagne before going off to bed last night and family round for a meal.
As i get older it means less.
when young i celebrated it more -an excuse to have a good time with lots of booze, but I don't enjoy drinking that much any more and to be honest, i can;t see that watcing the clock move on and the year change its numer is anything to celebrate.
Happy new Year anyway :-)

Way over rated as an occasion to get hideously drunk and throw up. I don't mind doing that every so often, but for me new year is about reflection on the old and plans for the new. I like to have the time to consider these things!

New Year's Eve is just an excuse for people who don't drink very much during the rest of the year to go out and get absolutely plastered.

I ignore New Years Eve like most other sensible people.

What was I doing at midnight on the 31st of December? I was in bed fast asleep.

i do.... everybody says it's a new year, put all the old stuff behind you... it's not like you will forget all the broken memories you had in 2006 just because it's '07 now. everything is still ther, it's still the same world now as it was yesterday, just that it is a different # now
