She should get a string so they're around her neck all the time (except the shower)

Why would she wear glasses in the shower or while sleeping??? Just establish a place (or two) that's convenient to the computer and/or bedroom area for her glasses. If she puts them down anyplace else, don't say anything but pick them up and move them to the designated spot. She'll catch on after a while. Nagging will do nothing except make her angry and unwilling to do anything about the problem. Not to worry, she won't go blind from not wearing glasses, but she might get a headache - nothing worse, unless she needs them for driving and gets in an accident by forgetting to wear them. If she breaks her glasses from carelessness, she should get glasses with titanium frames and the plastic lenses that athletes use.

ok astigmatism (I'm assuming that's what you mean) will not make you blind, it has to do with the curve of the eye lens. Most people do not wear them while showering or sleeping (unless you just forget to take them off) as for the computer well it may not always be easy to see but it can be done, of course it will put strain on the eyes but everyone's eyes typically deteriorate with time. Shes got to get used to using an eyeglass case (they usually give them to you when you get glasses) or get lined holders to put in the bathroom, bedroom or wherever you take off glasses. It's like anything that's new, you need to get into good habits.

She has astigmatism. I don't wear glasses in the shower.

Anyway, why doesn't she put them in a case? And if you're that concerned about her losing the glasses, breaking them, or her going blind, look into LASIK eye surgery. You'll never need glasses again.
